The Rapids Veterinary Hospital

Amelia:

Amelia joined the Rapids team in February 2017. She graduated from the Veterinary Technology program at The University of Guelph's Ridgetown Campus in 2014 and achieved her registration later that year. 

Amelia knew from a young age she was going to work in veterinary medicine, and learned that the role of a veterinary technician would suit her the best. Some of her favorite things about working in a vet clinic include getting to know the pets, providing hands on care and continuing to learn about veterinary medicine. Before joining the Rapids, she also gained valuable experience working in shelter medicine, grooming and she completed her high-school Co-op at the Canatara Animal Farm!

When she is not working, she enjoys watching movies, spending time with her friends and learning new hobbies such as knitting and playing guitar. She shares her home with her husband, her two tabby cats Chloe and Coraline.

Molly:

Molly is a graduate of St. Lawrence College. She completed the Veterinary Assistant program in 2003. She worked in other aspects of Animal Care, then joined us in small animal practice when we first opened in 2011.

Outside of work Molly enjoys spending time with family, especially her husband, two children and their Australian Shepherd Quinn.  Molly enjoys beach time, reading, and has a passion for running, in particular long distance races.

Ammie:

Ammie received her Veterinary Technician Diploma from St. Clair College in the spring of 1998. In June of 1998, she became a Registered Veterinary Technician. Since graduating she has worked in both small and mixed animal hospitals before joining The Rapids Veterinary Hospital’s team in 2013. She shares her home with her husband and two daughters. When she’s not at work she can be found in her barn caring for her small herd of beef cattle or in her garden.

She is excited to continue to provide exceptional care and support to both our patients and our clients at The Rapids Veterinary Hospital.

Denise:

Denise graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at St. Clair College and passed the national licensing exam in 2004. She joined the The Rapids Veterinary Hospital team in 2022.

She is owned by her two cats Maleficent and Diablo. She regularly opens her home, and heart, to litters of foster kittens.

In her free time she enjoys biking or curling up with a good book - and a cat!

Lisa:

Lisa is a graduate of the Office Administration program at Lambton College and proud mother of two. She was born and raised in the Sarnia area and has been passionate about animals since she was very young. She joined our team as a Veterinary Office Assistant in April of 2022 and says she considers herself very fortunate to work with such a genuine, caring and positive team. Lisa's favourite part of her position is meeting and assisting all of our friendly clients and their furbabies.

In her free time she enjoys working in her yard, reading, long walks along our beautiful waterfront but most of all, spending time with her husband and their silly cockapoo Baileys.
